ARM Holdings is the semiconductor design company whose CPU processors are at the "core" of the chipsets used on many mobile devices. Currently owned by Japan's SoftBank, ARM is up for sale and the company that is considered the top candidate to purchase it is Nvidia . The latter is the world's largest producer of graphics processing units or GPU chips and was purchased by SoftBank in 2016 for $32 billion.
