Today Huawei's sub-brand Honor took the wraps off of the 30 series - comprised of the eponymous Honor 30, but also the 30 Pro and 30 Pro+. The Honor 30 is powered by the brand new Kirin 985 chipset, which hasn't been featured on any other devices before - unlike the Kirin 990 5G that's in the Honor 30 Pro and Pro+. Given its name, you'd expect its performance to be incredibly close to that of the Kirin 990, but it unfortunately looks like that's not the case.
